The following suggestions may help you to make your decision:

1. Check the Close-to-Campus list (see our printable PDF under the Walk to Campus List tab) to verify the start-date of the lease; some begin in June, some begin in July or August. Lease terms are for approximately 12 months, unless specified otherwise.

2. When you find properties that interest you, please take a walk or drive by them to help you narrow your search and make sure you like the location and property.

3.  Be proactive and contact utility companies for average rates for your desired property.

4. In order to reserve a property, each member of your group must submit a rental application for approval. To apply for a property, simply click on the “Apply Now” button on the property listing of your choice. Once the applications are submitted and approved, we will send out an invitation for your group to set up and log-in to your new tenant portal, where you will then be able pay the security deposit and review a sample copy of the lease. The security deposit is essentially a damage deposit that is refundable after you move-out. It is not used as a rental payment (i.e. first or last month’s rent).
