Move-In Information


**Note:  For the safety of all involved, we are currently implementing contactless move-in procedures during this time. More information will be provided to each resident prior to their move-in day


As you prepare for your move, there are just a few things to remember…


 

  • Check your lease for your lease start date! This will be the day you can move-in to your new abode.

 

 

  • Make sure you have called and set up your utility accounts so that they are activated on your move-in day. This will ensure you have electricity and water when you move-in. If you are moving-in during the summer months, be advised that summers in Chapel Hill can be very hot and humid. You don’t want to be moving-in without AC or water!   • In order to move-in, the full or prorated amount of rent (depending on when your lease begins) will need to be paid before we can release any keys to your group. This means that if one person will be moving in before others in a group, that person will need to have the first month’s rent in full in order to move-in. Make sure to coordinate with your roommates to ensure that the initial balance is paid prior to move-in. 

 

We currently accept personal checks, certified funds and money orders as forms of payment for rent, however, most tenants now prefer to pay via safe and secure eCheck through their private Tenant Portal. The Tenant Portal offers the ability to pay online anytime with eCheck, as well as with credit or debit cards (processing and/or card provider fees apply). Tenant can also set rent due-date reminders and even schedule automatic payments so there's no worrying about missing or having a late payment. 


On move-in day, you will receive a Move-In Packet with keys, a Move-In Inspection Form, and other helpful information.
